About Me
Hey there! My name is Atsuko Day and I'm originally from Tokyo, Japan. My passion for music began when I was 4, the same year I started piano lessons. I continued my music education throughout my childhood, eventually graduating from Tamagawa University with a major in Piano. In 1998, I moved to the U.S where I have taught piano for over a decade and gathered experience as a professional pianist. My students are children to adults, as well as beginner to intermediate.
START: Beginner Fundamentals
As you embark upon your piano journey, you will learn note reading and basic music theory. I allow my students to set their own goals and work together to help them achieve it. Is your goal to play a Chopin piece? Maybe you've always wanted to play holiday songs for your family. Whether you want to be the next Mozart or simply want to play for fun, together we will accomplish your goals!
In-Person and Online Lessons
You can be anywhere while taking lessons as long as there is a piano! Online lessons are possible. We both use same the lesson books or music sheets. It will be almost like we are in the room together. I use headphones so I can focus on hearing your piano. I have a perfect pitch, so I know exactly which notes you are playing!
